Jacada Interaction Server supports the following types of authentication:

•Predefined Authentication: Authentication is based on an internal database that is controlled through the Jacada Interaction Server Admin Console. Users who are authorized to log in are defined in the Users sub-menu. Credentials required for authentication are account, username, and password.

This authentication type is used for the Interaction Designer and the Admin Console.

•Oauth2 Authentication: Authentication is based on an external authorization server that operates according to the Oauth2 specification. Authentication involves an extra level of security for access to protected resources (Oauth2 Authentication Workflow). Oauth2 authentication is supported for all mobile applications.

Jacada Interaction Server comes with an Oauth2 simulator out-of-the-box, allowing you to test the secured Interaction flow without configuring Oauth2 production server settings. Accounts may then configure this type of authentication against their own Oauth2 servers.

•AuthLink Authentication: Authentication is based on an external authorization server that operates according to Jacada Interact's security specification. An implementation of this authentication type using LDAP authentication is provided out-of-the-box. For details about authentication flow, refer to AuthLink Authentication Workflow.
