Configuring Choice Settings

These parameters determine the format in which choices are displayed, and the order in which the choices appear. When the Question Type is The user can provide input, this tab is disabled.
The Choices tab is made up of the following frames:
•Edit: Displays a list of the Choice elements in the Interaction that follow the Question, and enables you to configure the order in which the choices are displayed to users.
•Display Options: Allows you to select the format in which choices are presented to users. Available formats are:
•Switch (relevant to Yes/No questions only)
•Drop Down List
•Radio Buttons
•Click to Continue
•Checkboxes (multiple selection)
Note: Multiple choice Questions that have a display option of drop down list, radio buttons, click to continue, or buttons matrix may be followed by either conventional Choice elements, or by a Choice Lookup element. A Question with a display option of checkboxes (multiple selection) must be followed by a Choice Lookup. |
Display option settings include:

When this radio button is selected, you can select the Choice that appears first in the list. |
Place Holder (Drop Down List) |
When this radio button is selected, preconfigured text (in gray font) is displayed to users. Clicking the Browse icon opens the Placeholder Value window, where you can create a dynamic text message by dragging and dropping predefined elements into the message. |
List Title (Drop Down List) |
The label of the dropdown list. |
Default Selected (Radio Buttons) |
When this checkbox is selected, you can specify a Choice whose radio button is selected by default. |
